Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of dropandhost.com and related services (“DropAndHost”, the “Service”). By creating an account or uploading files, you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

DropAndHost lets you upload static files and websites and host them via a content delivery network. Free projects expire after 7 days. A paid plan keeps projects online for as long as the subscription is active. Features, limits (including file size), and pricing may change; current limits are shown on the website.

2. Accounts

  • You must provide a valid email address and keep your login details secure.
  • You are responsible for all activity under your account.
  • We may suspend or close accounts that violate these Terms or that we reasonably believe are abused.

3. Your content

You retain ownership of the files you upload. You grant us a limited licence to store, copy, and deliver those files solely to provide the Service (including CDN distribution).

You confirm that you have the rights to upload the content and that it does not infringe others’ rights.

You must not upload or host content that:

  • is illegal, or that you are not allowed to distribute;
  • contains malware, phishing pages, or other harmful code;
  • is spam, a scam, or used to attack others;
  • is sexually exploitative of minors, or otherwise prohibited;
  • infringes copyright, trademarks, or other intellectual property;
  • is primarily intended as unsolicited bulk file sharing of copyrighted material.

Project URLs may be publicly reachable. Do not upload confidential material unless you accept that risk. We may remove content or disable projects that violate these Terms or that pose a legal or security risk.

4. Acceptable use

You may not:

  • attempt to break into, overload, or reverse engineer the Service;
  • use the Service to send unsolicited bulk email;
  • resell hosting in a way that harms the Service or other users;
  • circumvent upload, storage, or bandwidth limits;
  • impersonate DropAndHost or mislead visitors about who operates a hosted site.

5. Free hosting and expiry

Free projects typically expire 7 days after creation and may then be deleted from our storage. We are not obliged to keep expired files. A paid subscription prevents expiry while it remains active. If a subscription lapses, projects may again become subject to expiry.

6. Paid plans and payments

Paid plans are billed as shown at checkout (currently a monthly plan). Payments are processed by Creem. Prices are in euros and may include VAT as required by law (for example Dutch VAT, or reverse charge for eligible EU businesses with a valid VAT ID).

  • You authorise us to charge the selected amount through the payment provider.
  • Unless required by law, fees are non-refundable once the paid period has started.
  • You may cancel for future periods; access continues until the current paid period ends, as applicable.
  • Failed payments may result in loss of paid features and expiry of projects.

7. Availability

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted Service. Maintenance, CDN outages, or force majeure may cause downtime. We are not liable for lost revenue or data solely because of temporary unavailability.

8. Disclaimer

The Service is provided “as is”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. You are responsible for keeping your own backups of important files.

9. Liability

Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law (including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud).

Otherwise, our total liability arising from the Service in any 12-month period is limited to the amount you paid us in that period (or €50 if you paid nothing). We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, or loss of data, except where the law forbids that exclusion.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the Service (with reasonable notice where practical). After termination, we may delete your files subject to backup and legal retention needs.

11. Changes

We may change these Terms. We will update the date at the top. Material changes may also be announced on the website. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

12. Law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Courts of the Netherlands have jurisdiction, without affecting mandatory consumer protections that apply in your country of residence.
